Welcome from the Academic Dean
When my parents were in their early twenties, it was far less common to prepare for professional life by pursuing university studies in general, and this for a great variety of reasons. More precisely speaking, theological studies have even been seen with a skeptical eye in certain circles until now. But times are changing. Many of those who have not always been favorable to in-depth training increasingly see the value of it for the efficiency not only in the pastoral but in all kinds of ministries.
The Bachelor in Bible and Applied Theology of the University of Wales at Continental Theological Seminary is designed to provide for serious academic training in the context of a community of students from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds that seek for a university degree in a solidly biblical environment with abundant opportunities for fellowship, service, spiritual life and have the desire to meet interesting people from around the world over the time span of three years.
Specializations provide for the possibility to expand the studies into areas such as Biblical Languages, Missions, Christian Education, Church Music or Pastoral Counseling.
Though close to the EU City of Brussels, ideal conditions for studying the Word of God and how to understand, apply, teach and preach it in different cultures are found in the precincts of a Romantic Castle with its library, park and animated pond.
The studies will not only provide for enhanced intellectual capacities, but also contribute to a life-transforming experience in order to become a genuine ambassador of Christ.
Once you have finished your BA, you can either enter ministry as pastor, missionary, music director or any other type of ministry, or you continue directly to pursue your Master of Theology degree and then even doctoral studies.
It is certainly worth the prayer to consider whether the Bachelor of Bible and Applied Theology at CTS could be the next step in your life guided by the Holy Spirit.
May the Lord fill you with all wisdom and discernment to find out about His will as you continue to read.
